Lexington Law Review - Does Lexington Law Firm Really Work?

Editor's Note: Despite the findings of this article, as with any service, experiences will vary from person to person. Be sure to read and understand the terms and conditions on the Lexington Law website.

Lexington Law is a credit repair firm that claims to help their clients successfully improve their credit rating by leveraging their network of credit correction attorneys to remove questionable negative items from their credit reports.

The firm charges its clients each month that they choose to utilize the service, and promises that it will not begin to administer charges until after the intiial work has been completed.

Lexington Law has been providing credit related services in some fashion since the early 1990s, and has emerged as a leading service in the credit repair industry.

Step 1: Evaluating Lexington Law's Services and Offers

Lexington Law appears to offer different "service levels" to its potential customers and clients. These service levels are named "Lexington Regular", "Concord Standard", and "Concord Premier."

Most clients will probably elect for the Lexington Regular level service, as it has the lowest monthly rate of the bunch at, allowing you to try the service with less financial risk.

To understand the differences between these service levels, be sure to check the Lexington Law home page. In the next section of this review, we will be doing a bit of digging to see if we can find customer feedback from past or present Lexington Law users.

Step 2: Finding Customer Feedback and Reviews of the Lexington Law Service

Finding results of actual customers is probably the best way to determine if this service does what it promises to do with your credit report. We had slight troubles finding useful customer feedback for this review, which I will explain later. Here are some quotes I found from websites with no apparent connection to Lexington Law firm. These are not the testimonials from the official webpage. These are comments found elsewhere.

The comments below are sorted into three distinct categories. Postiive comments are enclosed in a green box, neutral comments are inside a yellow box, and negative comments or complaints are within a red box.

Please note that this is only supplemental feedback; for a more complete profile of this company, you may wish to do your own research by checking with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

First, let's start with the positive comments on Lexington Law:

"I started using Lexington Law firm in 2006. They have been superior in getting negative items removed off my credit report. I have referred many friends and family to them over the years. The one time that I had a complaint one of the attorney's himself called me and even though he could not help me this one time, the overall experience was well worth the time and money that I spent. I would recommend them again and again. "

" Ok so today I signed up with Lexington Law, talked and asked many questions...does seem like it is a good deal "

Now, neutral comments or reviews found about Lexington Law Firm (these can be taken as either positive or negative, depending on your perspective):

"My best friend used Lexington Law Firm, going on 8 years now... They did remove many items, but still many derogs remain."
Opinion found on Yahoo Answers (answers.yahoo.com)

Finally, negative comments, feedback, or complaints found on Lexington Law.com:

" My spouse and I used their services for a long time and nothing changed. They wasted our money and even changed our attorney without even notifying us. They really do take their time doing nothing but sucking out your well earned money out of your pocket and putting it into theirs. "

" I worked with Lexington Law, and I don't recommend it. They charge you a monthly fee, so they take their sweet time in getting the work done. I got fed up with them and canceled. "
Opinion found on Yahoo Answers (answers.yahoo.com)

" I signed up for Lexington Law's credit repair service six months ago and I am honestly disappointed with the results."

Unfortunately, I had trouble finding complaints on the actual service from real users. While finding feedback was not hard, finding feedback that meets our criteria for this review was difficult because the opinions on Lexington Law firm are largely diluted by those whose opinions are not relevant (we are for actual users of the service who are commenting on their actual experiences).

There are many reviews of Lexington Law Firm available on the internet, but most of them appear to be conducted by commercial websites that have not used the service themselves.

On the other hand, many objections from the masses also involve people who made no indication that they actually used the service.

Most objections to the service from those who had not used it were related to the fact that you can learn how to negotiate your own debts and remove things from your credit report yourself. This line of reasoning, while true, is somewhat questionable to me.

You can do anything in our society by yourself, if you take the time to learn how to do it and actually put in the effort. The purpose of enrolling experts to do a service for you is so that you won't have to learn how to do it on your own.

Because those investigating Lexington Law are most likely already determined to find a service to perform the task of credit repair for them, those objections are probably not very useful for the purpose of this review and were discounted.

Real user feedback for Lexington is no doubt out there, and we will update this review with new experiences as we find them or they are sent to us. If you have any experience with Lexington Law that you would like to share, please send it straight away.

Step 3: Background Information

It is a good idea to know exactly what you are dealing with before entering into any business agreement with any company, no matter how long they have been around.

Luckily, it turns out that Lexinton Law has been performing their current business operations for quite some time, and so finding detailed information about this company is not too difficult.

Lexington Law is actually not any specific law firm, rather, they are a collection of associated independent law firms located in different states around the nation. They began providing their services in 1991, making them somewhat of a pioneer in the current flourishing industry of consumer credit repair.

Regarding their refund policy, Lexington Law puts it like this on their website (as of November 2009:

"Our refund policy is simple: If we fail to provide the agreed-upon services to you (as outlined by your selected service level) for any given month, you will not be billed for that month, or will be refunded your fees for that month if your payment has already been processed."

Thus, refunds are not absolutely guaranteed, but rather they are based upon the services rendered.

The Verdict on Lexington Law - Does Lexington Law Firm Work?

As with most things in life, there are no doubt positive and negative aspects of enlisting the help of a company like Lexington Law.

While Lexington Law has been around for a long time and most likely has a level of expertise, nothing can change the fact that you can most likely do your own research, put in some effort, and achieve many of the things that they can do for you on your own.

However, if you would prefer a more "hands off" approach and the thought of having a firm such as Lexington Law working for you tickles your fancy, then they can probably save you the work, research, and time. At least in theory.

Unfortunately, user experiences for Lexington Law Firm's services seem to vary. If you decide to take advantage of the program,, then make sure to realize that you are taking a chance on something that may or may not pan out.

A good credit score is becoming more and more important every year. With that in mind, it makes sense to "go the extra mile" to make sure that your credit rating is the best that it can possibly be, and Lexington Law promises to help with that.
